Jaybird and I have been working on getting a tournament together for 2009. We have the dates and the place. It'll be May 16th and 17th of 2009 which is Saturday and Sunday. It will be in Alverton Pennsylvania at the East Huntington Sportsman Club. There will be all kinds of targets, prizes, awards. You can use any ammo you like and any kind of slingshot. I'll get more information as far as local Motels, directions, all the rules, etc. COOL! Flatband |

Wow that sounds really great. I wish I could come. I have family in Illinois, so you never know! I doubt it though. |

I have the program ready for the "Shoot" in May of next year. There may be some changes but this is pretty solid so far. Should be a great event! Just click on the pages and it will enlarge. Flatband

| I am currently making plans to attend.....looking forward to attending and meeting other people. With my setup and lead ammo quart oil bottles at 40 yards are no problem! |

| Wish I could make it but I'd be in for a long swim across the Atlantic to get there, relying on all you attendees to take plenty of pictures and show us all how it went.. |

Thanks guys, would love to see a ton of people there. Events like this are a really good way to promote the sport in a positive way. Too many people have bad feelings concerning slingshots. They look at them as a little bad kids toy. We're out to change that. I might take you up on that offer Popeye. I'm going to the print shop to make up some nice laminated hard copies for Sporting goods stores and other "high people"areas.Could send you a few to hang up in your local people places. Flatband |

That would be a great idea....is there anyway you could put it on the computer in PDF format and I could print some out....it would save you some money
Funny you should bring that up...I already talked to a couple of stores around here that sell slingshots and ammo and they said to try to get them info on it and they would be glad to post it.
There are also other sport stores that I know that would also post them.
I was just at Dunhams and got 10 new sets of trumark bands , plus another slingshot for my collection. He said he would put up a flyer also.
Just let me know if you or Jaybird need anything else....we will be glad to help.

Those who are planning to attend the East Coast Slingshot Tournament in Alverton PA in May, might want to send their $25 entrance fee in now. We have the ammo purchased, the Trophies on order and now we're getting set to order T-Shirts. You can send a Postal money order or check if you haven't already. Please include the size T-Shirt you want. There is more information below. See you there! Flatband

At 5yrd. you shoot at playing cards ace of spades, clubs, hearts, and diamonds
At 11yrds there are two targets one has a 3"bull the other has a 2"bull.
At 20yrds.the bull is 5and 1/4"
At 25yrds the bull is about 8"
The metal targets set up like a 3D course are differant sizes and distances.
The 40yrd and 70yrd target I'm guessing is about 20'' |
