Just wanted to introduce myself. As the father of two little girls, I sometimes need to get out of the house for a while. My obsession is backcountry camping and fishing (both fly and spinning). I go on overnight trips in northern michigan about once every two weeks. I generally don't bring much food on these trips, preferring to eat fresh fish, game, and whatever wild edibles are available at the time. I usually carry a slingshot in my fishing vest (a Daisy F-16 with 3/8 steel bearings) for this purpose, though I am still working on accuracy. Having read just about all the posts on this forum (maybe a little bit obsessively) I've recently picked up some lead round ball and am really interested in trying a better hunting catty with flatbands. Thanks to everyone for the useful info.
