Here is a new design I have been working on. At least I think it is new I haven't seen anything like it if anybody has let me know. The idea was to transfer some of the pressure from my thumb and forefinger to the web of my hand and make it more comfortable for those long shooting sessions. I have one with light bands and one with double bands for shooting the 1/2 inch steel.

Hi Flatband, Yes there is a differance the pressure is spread out in your hand not on your finger tips. I have tendonitis, aurtheritis, burcitis, all those ritis brothers and prolonged shooting gets em to actin up. Thats one of the reasons I have gone to light bands for long shooting sessions. I love bieng retired but its hell gettin old.
